Icon20 Great news for Houston!

Just stopped by local AD, who recently opened its 4th store in El Paso, TX (in addition to Laredo, McAllen and Houston); and I was told Rolex gave them the green light to open the Rolex Boutique in the Galleria! Opening is expected in July '14

Wonder how that works in a mall that already has two established Rolex franchises (Tourneau and Ben Bridge)? I doubt a third sales point makes much sense. Either the ADs drop out or the boutique is an expansion within one of them. This is also hard to believe since they both carry extensive Rolex inventory. Look forward to seeing how it plays out.

I asked the owner the same question, his answer: 'I do not know. Rolex asked us to do a boutique in the Galleria, it is a great opportunity; they will figure out what happens to Tourneau and BB'

I guess it's make sense to open a rolex boutique since they already have hublots boutie and other high ends retails store inside the galleria

This happened in Chicago last year, Tourneau stopped carrying Rolex and started running the new boutique.

Do you guys think that you'll get better pricing in the Rolex boutique than you would at Tourneau?

My 2 cents: it is all about people. I have dealt with this AD for over 15 years and the prices I get can not be matched by any AD so far. SS Daytona? 1 week lead time. But once again, it is all about people and relationships. Do not expect to walk in and get a huge discount, it takes time; but I can tell you for sure that selection WILL be impressive (based on what I have seen at their other boutiques)

X1000. Need ADs for the new merchandise, but it's all about the relationships. A long time serious buyer= best available pricing!

I despise Tourneau! They are very unfriendly when I go in, and the sales guy looked at me like was a child molester when I asked him about a discount.

The problem with ADs is that they quit carrying 1665s, 5513s, 1680s, etc. when did all this happen?! All they carry now is just these shiny replacement models with price-tags 10x what they used to be

I know Tourneau is not a favorite here, but I always get very good treatment at their Scottsdale store. Very knowledgable sales associates too, but I've never bought from them.

It's all certainly about people and relationships..without that it's very hard to get things done.

I find T has the poorest selection out there. They just sell the most widely available references at full MSRP.

This exact scenario happened at the South Coast Plaza here in Orange County. Tourneau and Ben Bridge in South Coast Plaza no longer carry Rolex. Baron and Leed's the Rolex boutique took over.
