Bracelet: how do you clean it

there has been quite few threads asking for the best way to clean an oyster bracelet.

i have recently found some of my old rolex books and noticed that contained within was the very answer many seek.

I think most people can even skip the brush part. The maintenance is so simple. No fancy sprays or machinery needed.

Oh, so cleaning mine with baking soda and a wire brush isn't the way to go?

I use liquid dish detergent and a soft toothbrush ...... really makes the stainless steel sparkle!

Honestly, THIS is the only thing you need. I've cleaned in the past with any brush and found it works great on brushed parts BUT leaves teenie, tiny micro scratches on anything polished, so with just soap, water, and soft cotton towel I am always good to go. Thats the beauty of the 904L steel.

Small ultrasonic cleaner from EBay and a few drops of jewelry cleaner in with the warm water. Amazing how much junk comes out from the inner parts of the bracelet.

And most local jewelry stores will do it for free while you wait in their professional ones. I just find it easier to do my own.

anyone have stainless steel appliances in your kitchen? i know that soap and water cleans them well, but not as well as stainless steel cleaner does. Soap and water is safe and effective, but if you really want it to look great, use something else. I like Veraet, it gives a noticeable increase in shine to my watches.
