Sporting some of the world's finest timepieces is a surefire way to get noticed
I'm not sure if this has ever been posted before, but it's an interesting article. It's bound to draw comment:

I would say his assertions are directly at odds with the hundreds of threads posted here and other places all roughly asking "Does anyone notice your watch?" More importantly, most would agree that while a watch might be noticed, many of those folks feel it impolite to ask about it.
Men and women flocking about him because of a fairly sedate VC watch strapped on his wrist? Sorry, time to wave the BS flag. For example, YG Subs with a blue dials are nearly a 1000 times more noticeable than that and we never hear of similar attention. |

Plenty of Franck Muller pieces I see here in Vegas. Are there any fans of the brand on TRF? I have seen a few of them, and simply don't get it....

Interesting about the person who lives in a wealthy zip-code and his view on how the rich people dress. Where I live, Harbor Springs, Michigan, has some of the oldest money in the United States. While many may not wear that kind of time piece they definitely make up for it with real estate holdings. My board president has homes in more than a couple of locations. They are not shacks either. For that person to associate fine watches with hoodlums means he doesn't know what he's talking about; i.e., Ignorance at it's finest!
I also couldn't tell if anyone is looking at our watches. We only wear short sleeves a few months out of the year as it's colder than a witches ---! I still like mine for fine engineering. Same reason I drive my Lexus and would drive a Porsche if I could afford it. Different Strokes----! Terry Newton |

Cool article!
Frank Muller watches are a bit OTT for my liking, but there is no doubt about them being extraordinarily fine timepieces.

There were a lot of odd things about the article, but hailing cabs in NYC with his left hand? Who'd notice that? Even enthusiasts can't see what a watch is from a block away.

I agree, I reach across people all day long in the control tower and no one, i mean no one, has ever even noticed my GMT.
There is a second way; maybe this article is meant to be a little tongue-in-cheek. Best regards, j. |

3 1/2 months and counting. NOBODY has commented on my 116520. I get a lot of comments on my 14 year old dog who I treasure much more than the watch.
