Went into an AD today...Down Under

Had some free time this afternoon (kinda, the 2 little lads were with me) so i thought I would pop into the local AD to check out the SubC range.
'Sorry Sir we are all out and will have none in stock until the first week of April."....said the salesman.
So I took some picks..........
Some Tudors

Rolex

The kids couldn't care less...

Rolex Prince

The counter of little resistance...

Weakening...

The hypnotising screens...

Aaaaaand the purchase order.....

To the victor go the spoils....

Just the opposite Craig.
They were very nice but basically in a round about way said "we have none in stock and neither do the other 2 AD's in Melbourne AND we have a list of ppl that 'want' one, so why would we discount a watch for you that we are still waiting to come in when anyone on the list will pay Full Recc Retail."

There was no pressure and as stated they were nice and if it were my shop I would have said exactly the same thing. Old price $7920-after rise $8250. No biggy in the end.

It was a great thread till this.

Cute kids.

Grumble. Zero vested interest. Not waiting.

But I do hope you enjoy purchase.

Great little story. I'm with the others, buy from a trusted seller here on TRF. Life is too short to wait unti April, especially for something that is readily available in 98% of the world.
