Sixties Datejust

Hello everyone, I'd love to hear comments regarding the details about this vintage DJ as I don't really know that much about it. Love it, though. And it runs great! Thanks.

Nice TT DJ with linen dial. Classic, and classy. You should pop off the bracelet to see the serial number between the lugs. That will give you a better idea of the year of the watch. Looks like it could be early '70s, but I'm not sure. Congrats!

Thanks, Aaron! It's been a while since I've looked at the serial number but I do seem to remember verifying it as late sixties. I'll have another look, however.

Looks to be a mid-late sixties manual wind 1601. As stated above if you take a peek between lugs for the model and serial number you'll know for sure however. Definitely a sound vintage piece!

It's not a manual wind watch. The words "Oyster Perpetual" on the dial means it's an automatic.

Nice watch, true classic Rolex

Looks great, I've always been a fan of linen dials.

Thanks, everyone. I've really been enjoying wearing it lately. Great with nice/casual as well as more formal wear. Love the size, too!

Popped the bracelet off and looked between the lugs. 2271079 shows it to be from 1967, I believe. That's pretty much what I remembered. Thanks for everyone's interest.
