Rolex movement ? when winding
Is it normal to hear the movement produce a metal to metal grinding noise when winding it on a DJ?
Please see watch in question. It functions normally but the winding is quite loud. |

I have not experienced a grinding sound when winding my DJ, nor with my other timepieces. I guess it's time to have it serviced.

Thanks for your input...
My other time pieces do not make this steel grinding noise so I was concerned when I heard it. I hope service will correct this DJ and not be the rotor or other technical parts. Thanks, -Steve |

Definitely get it checked out, it shouldn't be very loud. After you get it serviced (if it needs servicing) I would recommend you purchase a solid Watch Winder from Amazon. Your wearing the best, might as well take care of it the best.
