New End Piece

If I buy a new end piece for my 1983 TT DJ, am I likely to eliminate/greatly reduce this gap?

thank you

Couldn't you just bend it a little bit? I believe I've read where a lot of folks "tweak" them a little to fit.

Thanks for your reply. I plan to try to bend it but not before making certain that if I make it worse, a new one will be better than what I have. It looks worse in the enlarged photo than on my wrist, but still annoying seeing it each time I check the time. And, there are three intersections with opposing curvatures to align so it's not as easy as it seems.

Use a curved plier very gently going evenly up and down the endpiece, and you'll be fine. Take it slow.

Thanks, Vanessa! I sent for and received the pliers - one side with fiber jaw worked perfectly without scratching the gold/SS face of the end piece. And, as you recommended, best to go slowly and bend the end piece incrementally. Even so, it took a few tries, a few adjustments after over bending but I am now satisfied with the results; gap eliminated. Your guidance and link to the pliers much appreciated.
