One comment so far, Art... questioning the watch and the box. Hmmm.... I hope it's legit. It's a friend's estate sale and I told him I'd try to help get a value on the watch. The lugs look vintage-ey. I dunno.

I already commented in your other thread Lisa but I must say I've never seen such a reference from PP before. Like I said, AP has released a similar watch but I've never seen a Patek that looked like that or had those complications together without anything else.

Could you possibly get more pictures?

By the way, allow me to give you a few more details about my weekend. We ate, drank and played in the snow for two days and a half and really had a lot of fun! Winter trips don't allow us to do as many activities as Summer ones as the lake is frozen but we did enjoy it a lot! It was a great weekend to spend a lot of energy but at the same time it was very refreshing and somewhat relaxing at times.

Hey Coffeeshop, very quiet in here at the moment, hope you are all good. Not been up to much myself, badminton was much better this week and I beat my friend and don't ache anymore. Had to pop into work this morning, and quite tired now, but can chill out at home now, maybe hang out in the coffeeshop

Hi Carl, well it was such a beautiful day here today. It's gone from cold to nice and warm overnight. I washed my car, it's nice and shiny. Then popped round parents for dinner. I had to drag my dad out the pub, where I saw a DSSD, an AP(Royal Oak?) a cartier, a DJ or Date and the barman was wearing a Speedmaster. Never seen so many nice watches in one place except a GTG.

Quite an impressive lot of watches, I hope you enjoyed your night with your parents.

My day is pretty relaxing indeed, I prepared my lunchs for the week, played a bit of guitar and ate.

Is it me but I cant get the "pledge 2014" to work.....after I select United States it does not change below for the AU territories....after 2 days I give up

I guess you are just trying to pay with a credit card, Greg, and I see what you mean, the states don't change to other countries.

But I guess everyone here has a actual paypal account, and just use the login to the right, then there's no issue.

My dad's new local is called the travellers friend, and has just been bought by one of my old school friends. Hopefully it has been saved, rather than being knocked down and flats being built. It's been there for 180 years.

I prefer lager, most pubs have fancy ones from Europe, I had a Kronenbourg 1664, but there was loads of stout's and Ale's but don't know much about them. Should try them one day.

I don't have one either, never will, have no idea how to even. David lives close by to me, he pays my pledges then I give him cash. I wish I could just send someone cash to pledge. It would be interesting to find out if any famous people ever entered the Pub and what it must have been like to live in 19th Century Great Britain(I really do enjoy American and European history.....

I spent a long time buying on Ebay and pledging without a Paypal account. In fact, I wished I never opened one as I really don't like the idea of having one but it has been (thus far) more or less useful at times. I'm always thinking about deleting it though as I prefer to use my credit card and call it a day.

In fact, I created one when a friend of mine told me Ebay wouldn't protect me if I didn't go through Paypal for a purchase. As it turns out, I realized they will so I'm always thinking about closing it.

Looks like a very fun place Wes! I rarely drink but when I do a good dark beer is always my favorite (either brown, red or much darker than that, that is). I'm not an expert and don't know all the differences between a lager, a stout and all those other types of beers though...

It's nice and warm here as well, blue skies and 19-21 degrees celcius for the last 3 days. Seems like it's spring already

Hi y'all, here's a Ripley's Believe It or Not---today the weather is sunny and we are going to get above 50F...I was sure wondering when we were going to catch a break and the temperatures would warm up. Now for the downside tonite another weather front moves in and we are expecting a dusting of snow.....UpDate 2 inches of that white stuff moving in tonite!!!

Yes lots of the pub's have some history, and normally have some old photos's on the wall with like a horse and cart outside. I remember reading that Dick Whittington used to frequent some of my local pubs. Or maybe it was Dick Turpin.

Wes, to me history is fascinating and Great Britain is steeped in 'History'.....add in the rest of Europe and between y'all have Centuries of the "stuff." You could spend a lifetime studying European cultures and mankind and only break the surface. I could spend time reading, researching and taking notes and enjoy every minute.......

I'm here, guys. I've been too crabby to post! But feeling better now... did some spring cleaning and organizing and have started some tomatoes, basil and corn in pots. The days have been warm, so I'm keeping the pots on the porch and will bring them in if we get more freezes (which we will!)

Wes, I love that old pub. We don't have many places like that here because our state isn't old enough. Even so, there is a restaurant/bar in a town called Guthrie about 20 minutes north of us called the Blue Belle Saloon. It was opened in 1889 right after the land run. Have you ever heard of the silent movie cowboy Tom Mix? He used to work at that bar before moving to Hollywood.

You know I don't like old movies, so not heard of that film, but that looks like a really amazing bar(or Saloon). It prolly had them swing doors at some point, I bet. Looks like a good place for a Coffeeshop GTG.
