Auction Fever!
Another successful sale of vintage Rolex today at Christie's auction of important watches in Dubai!
My 3 favorite: 1. 1980 Tiffany Pepsi GMT 16750 $35,000 2. 1978 Daytona White Dial 6263 $35,000 3. 1978 Daytona Black Dial 6263 $40,000 Sale estimates were well below these prices, which don't include the 25% buyer's premium. You can view the entire sale and results here: http://www.christies.com/lotfinder/s...&viewType=list |

Prices were ridiculous across the board. I feel like location played the largest role in the auctions success

I'm pretty sure those hammer prices DO include the buyer's premium.

I know it had a Tiffany stamp, but holy hell, $35K for a 16750?!?! Stop the madness!

$20,000 for a 1971 1665, estimate $7 to $9k?!?
Yeah, definitely location had something to do with it. |

No, I didn't participate in the sale, just sharing the results!
Hi, I did not buy or sell anything in this auction, but was impressed by the sale prices! |

Is it true that all the proceeds from this auction are going to be donated to the World Hunger Bank, and other worthy charities.....
