what abt this 1680?

hello all,
i have been struggling to get a single red for long long time
just realize friend of mine (not so close) is willing to offer me his single red for $9000 inc box/tag/mannual but no warranty sheet.
what do you think?
I reckon the hands are rather new but iI am okay with that personally.
he is okay to take it to RSC HK for quick check as well.
however he mentioned it is mark3 while below link obviously tells it is a mark4
i am confused.

You are correct regarding the dial being a Mark IV. The watch appears to be in very good condition for its age. Good luck with the purchase and welcome to the forum.

Yes, MkIV dial, and newer hands. Dial looks excellent. Lovely bezel insert - looks likely to be original to the watch.

Looks like a very nice example! If you are so inclined, you should be able to find a (close to) matching hand set.

Looks great, from the pic the seconds hand looks original as well. Source a period correct hour and minute hand and you will have a great piece at a fair price! Good luck

Case looks OK (it's been polished), but the crown guards look a little rounded for my liking. Also, I wonder why the the spring bar is sticking out of the lower right lug. Could be that the lug has been overpolished or that the spring bar is too long. (The latter is no biggie, of course.) Also, finding a set of hands with matching patina will be a challenge. Good luck either way!
