Just think, with Rolex's move backwards to the SD4000

Can we expect a further step back in time to a 5513 re issue? Faded ceramic bezel full increments in the bezel a la 5517, matte dial with maxi blue lune plots, slimmer lugs and domed sapphire crystal. I know it probably would never happen but I thin I'm would be a spectacular watch and to top it all, make it a special edition, The first limited edition piece Rolex have ever made.

It will never happen but we can but dream.

Just found this on the Internet. It seems other companies are doing it but not Rolex. I love this watch!

But at £15,000. I'd have to try it on!

The fake vintage lume is not for me. I would be very surprised if Rolex released a piss lume watch.

Just think if Rolex would make a special "classic" Sub edition with lug holes. That would sell out.

No, it will not happen. Rolex clearly defined their idea on the current generation Sub back in 2008 with the introduction of the Sub-C, and they will stick to that (and the 114060 reassures that strategy). But there are quite a few beautiful vintage Subs and SDs to pick up, so why bother making or wanting a new old watch anyway?

In my first post I had mentioned new blue lume and the pic I found was as close as I could find but sadly it does have the aged plots. I too hate fake lume....... Unless its on a PAM 372 ;-)

Works perfectly :-)

I wish they would bring back the vintage daytona look: 6263 or Newman.
