Rolex Presentation Box

Could someone please tell me if the presentation box on the left is original and correct.

It belongs to a final series Rolex Submariner 16610.

The font use and the quality of materials looks significantly inferior to the box for my Rolex Submariner 116610 (on the right in each picture) and so wanted to make sure that it is fully authentic.

Any input is greatly appreciated

The pictures are confusing. Pic 1 (green boxes) is correct with the 16610 box on the left and the 116610 on the right.

For 2 and 3 the 16610 is on the right and the 116610 on the left.

For Pic 4 it is as pic 1 - 16610 on the left and 116610 on the right.

I'm not an expert but one of them doesn't look kosher. But do they go as far as to fake the box too?

Yes that's what I am confused on - it's the one that is left in pic one, right in pics two and three and left in pic four.

The Rolex font looks weird inside the box and on the lip of the outer box.

Not sure if this is an older style of box?

I just checked a few of my boxes and I'm seeing the same mismatch in fonts your seeing on the bottom of the green box. Exactly!

Also noticed the outer box texture and color aren't exact either. And the boxes are of two different sizes.

I think your boxes are fine... Seems there are big variations in consistency.

Who would have known.

Thank you - I appreciate your assistance with this.

I never expected such differences - thankfully it seems that the quality of the boxes is getting better for each new iteration!

As long as it's genuine, does the quality of the box really matter?

I blame the Internet did you not realise the box and bits of plastic are more important the the watch.

It was more a question about the authenticity of one of the boxes rather than the quality of it.

Have you checked the watch for authenticity?

Everything is in order - it was just a query on whether the presentation box was authentic as it looked different to all of the others that I have.

I agree, it does look suspiciously different.

I would bring it in to the nearest RSC for verification.
