Early Fifties ??? Is it real?? E-bay related

Hi everyone, to recap I ( in a moment of confusion ) purchased The Watch, from a merchant as he is represented on E-bay as imco150. Upon receiving the watch in the mail it was not operating. I gave it a shake and bam sweeping. Toooo Good to Be True? You Bet! 3 hours later the watch stopped.
I have made arragements at the advice of this forum to send it out and wish to thank all. The watch can be viewed at www.rocketstudios.us/MyRolex.html
please feel free to view it, date it, authenticate it, see what you think but enjoy it. I will keep this forum up to date as I learn about it I will post the news. With a little grace we shall all learn something.

And 8 yrs later I'm bringing this thread back to life...

I would be very much appreciated if anyone can help me with this one.

I found this timepiece for sale and thinking whether to pull a trigger on it or not.

The watch should be Rolex ref 6502 in original condition (except the strap). I'm not sure if the dial is because I have not been able to find any similar dial with that kind of indexes. The movement looks pretty much the same as in the picture above. The watch is working and the seller is asking 2k for it. Worth it? Does anyone know how much does it cost to get it serviced?

Binhfi, I think a new thread in the WatchOut section would be more appropriate for your questions. Regardless, your pictures show a gold watch and a steel watch...
