Bobswatches question
Does anyone know how fair their prices are? I've been looking into them but the delta between the buy and sell makes me concerned I'm overpaying. What's everyone's input?
The watch I'm eyeing because it says Mint condition. Thanks for the help anyone/everyone! http://www.bobswatches.com/rolex-dat...stry-dial.html In addition, does anyone know if they will negotiate on the price if I counter offered? |

Of course you're paying more than they buy for. You could try the sellers here and compare prices.

Simple retail business practice. Buy at wholesale and sell at retail. This creates a difference also know as a profit margin. The American way. Nothing to worry you about.

I'm no expert but from what I've seen on Bob's Watches their "buy" prices are pretty consistent with what you will hear from other grey dealers, not to mention some ADs. As for their "sell" prices I really don't know but suspect you could get a better deal from a TRF seller.

I'm having trouble just finding that watch yet alone for that price and in mint condition. Anyone know where to maybe start (besides the classified section, I check that daily). Thanks.

I have not personally dealt with or personally know any of them but have seen many positive comments about experiences with DAVIDSW, OCROLEXGUY, justrolexes and bodybump. As far as I know all the sellers are good but you need to do your own research. Good luck!

If it puts your mind at ease, I did buy a Sub from Bob's that I couldn't find anywhere else. It was a good experience, they seem to know their market. They know what collectors value - they don't polish or replace parts on vintage pieces. The prices are not low, but they're fair, I think.
Sellers here are also fair, and also kow their market. They might have better prices, as they don't have to pay the rent on a store. Check all options. |

I've bought two watches from bob's. Both good experiences. I'd buy from them again. Once you buy, the watch arrives by fed ex the next morning. You've then got three days to return it if you're not satisfied.

If the watch that the customer receives is the same as the pictures, that is a very good price.

Having to pay the CA sales tax on top of what are already marginally high base prices takes these guys off my short list.

I recommend www.Goldwatchco.com... Dennis and his crew have the very best reputation out there. I have done 2 deals with them and they are indeed the best
