Winding my 111 ?
I know this is a pretty lame question but this is the first Non-Automatic that I have owned in over 35 years can you over wind the 111 how do I know when enough is enough and how often do you wind ...daily? And no I never read the directions unless I F%&# it up lol.

The Unitas based movements have a hard stop. You can't keep winding like an auto. So you want to be somewhat careful if you're looking for a full wind each day. They're a workhorse of a movement but you can damage it if you try to wind too much. 15-20 a day should keep it going.

I usually wind it all the way once I feel slight resistance I stop. From a dead start I'd say it takes roughly 60 turns

As sad as this sounds, my 112 wound exactly 43 times a day and it uses the same movement. You'll feel it come to a stop.
