ROC Chrono Malfunction - any ideas why/how?

As I have posted, I just picked up an AP ROC 25860 and love it. The only problem I found out after I had completed my Daytona trade is that the minute hand on the chrono register does not advance past the first minute (everything works perfectly until 1 min, 59 seconds. Then the seconds hand of the chrono passes 12:00 and keeps going as it should, but the minute hand doesn't advance to "2" or any further). I checked it for about a minute and a half in the store so it appeared the chrono worked as it should. Now the dealer is dealing with it and will of course fix it, so that's not the problem. Not knowing that much about the drive of the chrono in these watches, I was wondering if anyone had ideas of what is going on or if they have had similar experiences?

Thanks,

Steve

I had a similar issue with my ROC chrono function when I got mine a few years ago. The large chrono second hand would not pass 12 when activated. I would stop and reset the chrono, but it still wouldn't pass 12. I had to send it down to Clearwater to get it fixed, under warranty. I haven't had any issues with it since. It took about a month to get it back.

My ROC wouldn't reset correctly to "0" sent it in for a massage and warranty claim. It did take a long time to get it back. Here's an old picture.

That's the watch I have with the gray/black dial. Love it. I was just trying to understand why it would only advance to "1" and then stop. It would seem to me whatever gear turned it to "1" should turn it to "2" and so on. Now as long as it gets fixed I'll be happy but was just wondering if anyone knew he mechanical aspects of it.
