Pretty common among dive watches no? If we are talking the flip out extension and not the ability to adjust the bracelet length by moving the pin further down the clasp. I had a few tags and even a Swiss army with the same feature back in the day. Was told it was to allow you to quickly adjust the size to fit over a wet suit.

You'll get minimal arguing here that Rolex makes a damn good clasp.

One thing I've found with the stiffer AP bracelet is that you can wear it a bit more loosely than a more flexible bracelet without it moving around too much. I actually have the deployant of my ROC just a bit off center and it fits very comfortably
