AP 15202 question

I just picked up AP 15202 couple days ago; but found that mine was H-serie with all the appearances of the I-serie (e.g. AP logo, Swiss made layout). Is this normal practice by AP to still distribute H-serie;while already launched the I-serie?? Does it have anything to do with regions or country of purchase? Any comment would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

As long as it is new. Different places sell at a different pace.

1 difference common from the H to I are the amount of dots (if you will) on the dial, they are slightly larger on the H, ie there are fewer of them.

To understand, count across starting at the center of the dial, where the hands attach, toward the date.

8 on the H, vs 9 on the I's that I have seen

To compare, here is my I serial 15202, Other than the shade of blue and the size of the tapisserie, I do not think there is any other difference.

Hmm. Just realized my 152020 i series has 8 dots from center to date. And there is also an i series for sale here in TRF (DavidSW) that also has only 8 dots. Would be interesting to know if there are any h series with the 9 dots.

In any case. The 152020 is a great watch in any of its series.

Agree with you, great watch regardless.

Not sure what any of it means, all seems random, it was just an observation, to confuse it more, i have seen an image used on AP site that has 10, I have never seen an actual one with 10.

Of course Gus is being coy. In 40 years people will pay 9 times as much for AP RO 15202's with 10 dots. Production is very, very limited

Nice watches all! On my, and virtually every WIS short list.

I checked my a series 5402 jumbo and it had 9.5 dots. I guess they are trying to replicate the original as close as possible. Although the original colour is quite different.

8, 9, 10 dots--I guess to me I really don't notice or care. 15202 rocks no matter the flavor!
