What was Zenith thinking?

So you're a Latin American dictator or cartel kingpin in the market for a new watch… No problemo!…

Sadly, Zenith has made worse - much worse - watches.

This is pretty cool.

Look, just because you disagree with the ideology does not mean the watch sucks. I bet all the artwork is done by hand and the mechanics should be top notch as well. Also, as pointed out in a previous reply Zenith has created much worse designs in the past. My heart still skips beats whenever I think of the Defy series...

BTW, Che loved good watches--he wore a GMT.

As a decorative exercise I believe they are gaudy. The prices are exciting though

People usually abandon such ideas when they sober up in the morning.

I was looking at some vintage Zeniths last night in the hopes of finding a good deal.

I can now scratch Zenith off my list of possible acquisitions.

Thanks for posting.

Che also liked killing good people. What a guy. I bet a "hand drawn" Zenith Hitler wouldn't elicit such remarks.

I agree. Reminds me of the reaction I had to The Jungle Room in Graceland.

Speaking of the morals of watch companies, Rolex has supplied lots of middle east dictatorships with special dials.

As you just hit Goodwin's Law, I suppose the thread is closed and according the the rules you've lost the debate :-)

Cool watches, Zenith!

My history lessons don't come from Hollywood. Get a clue.

Never heard of that one before. Can't say I buy into it. However, throw Che into a discussion and it will devolve quickly, especially when Cubans with long memories are involved.
