Nope, it wasn't the 1675/8, it was the gold version of the 6542. These had brownish Bakelite bezels. All original examples go for well north of $75,000. Not uncommon for a pristine model to go $110,000 plus

Eh no worries. The gold 6542 is hyper rare and not really on the same planet as the other gold GMTs (standard gold GMTs, not those diamond monstrosities). I've never seen a gold 6542 in person myself.
