I noticed on the first rolex I owned there was a slight indent under hands the light would dance in if you looked close shifting the watch in your hand. That was a year 2000 GMT master II.

I noticed it again in my F Serial 16610, however in my K serial 16613 that dial does not have that indent? It's subtle but it's there. I was curious if you guys could spot it too? Black dial prob. is best as all mine were black dials/are.

Looking at it, it looks like it would be created as the hole was punched out, causing the depression.

How about any other models? I'm rather interested in the gild writing dial on my 16613 not having it. I noticed Everything, today I just decided to wear a little SS and when they were together (They fight with each other so it's rare) I noted it.

It's there (barely) on my 1998 14060. I was wondering about it too...

Same on my V serial 14060m. Just looks like a slight indent where the hands have been pressed onto the dial.

Not without a great camera, which I dont have.

Doesnt really bother me to much as can only be seen in certain lights.

when the dials are fired the finish is liquid with surface tension around the preexisting center hole causing the depression?

This is the info I got too.

Similar problem with paint on cars around sharp edges. This caused problems for MB some years ago.

Haha ... it is not a dent at all, I think it is the reflection from underneath the hands.

I saw it on my DJ anf thought wth ... just about to ring up the dealer and i saw that it disappeared ina certain light

Agree 100%. it is usually most prominent on the black enameled dials and if you look close, it looks like liquid pouring through a hole. you will also notice that it doesn't exist at all on certain non-enameled dials like silver Datejust dials or on the old 16613 Bluesy. On some serials of the Sea Dweller 16600 the effect is also very prominent around the date aperture as well..

I'm sure mine has it around the edge of the whole face as well as the center. Makes it a fancy little decorated washer..

I've noticed this on my sub ever since getting it. Neither of my DJs have this though. Slightly irritating or maybe I'm being OCD haha

Do you guys notice this on your subs?
