Lisa, a big night for Phoebe and of course for you and Dave as well. I would imagine you both could be having thoughts of where did all the time go that she is now going to be attending High School this coming Fall, enjoy the evening and her special event!!!

Btw. I do not know if you saw my reply but I did give you some advice about your Thrip infestation on your Climbing Roses.....

Leo, it was wonderful! Sweet of you to ask I feel honored to be her mommy! My husband went all out and we had a lovely day. I now need to work on the same for him for Father's Day!

Yes, Leo, thank you for the information about thrips and how to treat them. Since I have some on hand already, I've started with some Diatomaceous Earth powder, sprinkling it on the blooms and on the soil below. If that doesn't help I will try what you recommended.

Karis, I'm still astonished that you are a mom now! Just makes me grin big every time I think about you.

Looks nice, Art. Better than the rain we've had all weekend. Shouldn't complain, though, because we really needed it.

Huh... still thinking about that old car. I'd be getting into an expensive mess with the restoration, but can't let go of the thought of having it, just yet.

You know if you want it Lisa go for it. You only live once. It would be something to do for a while and could end up being a lot of fun.

Yeah Phoebe looks cool in the Nirvana t-shirt. I used wear T-shirts like that when I was her age.

Lisa, that car looks like a bottomless money-pit to me. How it would ever pass an MOT?

Your young Ladies look fantastic in that picture(with the car)and see that Phoebe is following in your footsteps with the Converse Sneakers!!!
Which car is that one as I do not remember you mentioning that "Oldie but Goodie?" How long have you owned it???

New Smyrna Beach is north east on the interstate, less than an hour away. It's just south of Daytona Beach. That's on the east coast or Atlantic Ocean side. I prefer the west coast, the Gulf of Mexico side.

So I'm losing my mind

Booked this a year ago, was a showing of Gladiator at the Royal Albert Hall last night, with a full orchestra/choir for the score. So been looking forward to it for ages.

Had just got up town and was gonna meet a friend for a meal beforehand, but guess what, I forgot the tickets and had to rush home and get them instead, I could of cried. Arrived in a pool of sweat just in time for the show. Was an amazing show though.

Yep Art, did end well. Have never seen an orchestra before, and it was pretty epic, especially with my fav film.

I must of checked the tickets about 10 times this previous month, check date and time, and been waiting a year to see this. And on the day, not once did I think to get them out the drawer, put them in my wallet, in my jacket pocket or leave them on the side. How is that possible? What a doofus

I do stuff like that all the time, Wes. Good that you made it back in time!

Leo, we don't own the car. Just thinking about buying it. A fool and his money, you know.

Wes, are you attempting to explain to us why you're developing "Senility".......

Lisa, as for that car...do you have estimates as to what it would cost to rebuild that car? Can you even find all the parts needed for the rebuild? As long as you can rebuild it and it would give you years of pleasure and happiness then it's well worth the time it will take to get it up and running. As a thought, I wonder if you were able to get the car rebuilt on a Cable(History channel)TV show like Count's Kustoms...would they(the TV Channel)pay for the rebuild???

Just a proud daddy moment,

the baby graduated from Univ a few weeks ago and has landed a job in her major, starts in August. Decent pay, good benefits and vacation time. She'll be in Tampa, she likes it there and I can't blame her for that, it's a nice area, moves out of her school condo into another condo with some girls in a few weeks.

I've mentioned to her a few times over the phone and text that maybe now I can get my gas card back. She seems to always change the subject.
