What happened to 10Past10?

The site has been under construction for ages. Any idea what's going on?

Most are already sold before they're published anyway, I'd imagine. Mine was!

It's likely Eric spends his time finding great watches for high end clients. If I had to wager, most of these deals are completed outside of the "web."

Further, this activity likely conflicts with playing about on websites. I was made aware awhile back that one goal of the site refresh was to make it easier to update.

Lastly, a site redesign can take many months. I'd say it was best to potential buyers to simply take the old associated content down.

Just my thoughts : )

Cheers,
Steve

I tried to reach him over e-mail looking for a vintage Daytona and DRSD and never heard back from him.

Eric Ku is now in charge of Vintage Rolex Forum, he took over from Richard Carver.

I agree with this. I understand Eric is a busy guy but so is Tony (Just Rolexes) and I never have a single problem with getting a response or customer service. Same goes for Jacek.

My ears are burning! Someone brought to my attention this thread, so I thought i'd chime in here on this topic one last time. On any given day, I get 100 emails from potential customers, asking for XXXXXX or YYYYYY. I simply do not have the time to reply to each and every one, especially if its asking for things that I don't have available, or people checking up on things that I don't have available. Like any business, I need to prioritize my time and deal with watches that I do have, and can sell. If I have something available, you will see it on my website. If its not listed there, I just don't have it. Not to upset anyone, but if I don't have what you are looking for, chances are you will not get a reply from me. Sorry in advance for anyone who feels slighted by this. Also, just as a buyer can buy from whomever he choses, I reserve the right as a seller to sell to whomever I choose to. I think I speak for many dealers out there, but when I get an email that says, "I'm offering you $8k for this watch you listed at $15k", chances are you won't hear from me. Of all the criticism that I've endured, I don't think any actual customer who has bought a watch from me, was left unsatisfied with it. As you all know, we are a small pond of many fish looking for the same thing to eat.

My new site is still under construction, and I will not launch it until I am satisfied. Quality takes time. I've always taken the approach of quality over quantity or speed, so if you guys can't wait for that, there are many other qualified dealers that you can buy your watches from.

And a special shout out to Luciano "LSAVOLDI" who emailed me twice in 2011 asking for a red sub, to which I replied both times, "I don't have what you are looking for."

Hey Eric...perhaps you should consider setting up an "auto-reply" that says what you just articulated in your email...something along the lines of "Thank you very much for your email. Please be aware that I receive an overwhelming number of emails from around the world every day and I simply cannot respond personally to each one. If I am able to assist you with a purchase request or other matter communicated in your email; I will respond at my earliest opportunity. Should you not hear back from me it is only because I currently am unable to assist you and would highly recommend that you reach out to other vintage watch dealers that are highly recommended in the Rolex Watch Forum Community. Thank you for your understanding
kind Regards,
Eric
( just a thought from someone who has dedicated their entire career to excellence in customer service)... Not judging...just offering up a sincere recommedation to avoid any future misunderstandings such as this.

Seems like there is more than one seller that has a "peculiar" way of doing business here...

Good to know!

Thought I would chime in here. Eric is a stand up guy and a good friend. He travels the globe monthly if not weekly looking for the highest quality watches and sometimes doesn't reply immediately to all inquiries.

Eric never even posts his watches for sale on forums.

Also, any members that think Eric perhaps took over VRF for promoting his business are wrong. Since Eric took over VRF last year he has never posted a watch for sale on VRM, or promoted his website. Not once.

Have a good Memorial Day.

I've bought a couple of pieces from Eric, and I've been extremely happy with the quality and responsiveness when he has, or is getting, a piece I am interested in adding to my collection. He is the first to admit he is hard to get in touch with, and he has always been apologetic about this difficulty with me, thus I don't take it personally because it is not meant by him as something personal. I think some people take it personally, which is unfortunate, because he is just crazy busy. He is a great guy to do business with.
