16600 waiting at home

Just got notice that it was delivered. Full set 16600, great shape, can't wait to check it out, but I'm teaching class until 10PM. Patience is a virtue. Have to post some pics of it along with my "almost there" submariner collection.

Got it, this thing is in flawless condition, circa 1999/2000, box and papers look new.

Thanks. The new SD looks like it was packed away for the last 15 years. It's going to get some overdue wrist time. The COO was so stiff and pressed together I could tell it's only been viewed a couple times.

very nice...do you mind if i ask how much is the going rate for one like yours with box and papers? I would love to have one one of these days..my friend got a similar model in osaka last month but without box and papers for around USD 4,500-5000

Love the SD, but don't think of it as vintage.

Great addition to your great collection! Another added extra: the lug holes make slipping on a NATO a piece of cake. Enjoy!

Mind boggling that 1990 watches will be vintage in 5 1/2 years. You must like really old watches. Mines not 30 years yet but the model came out in 1978, vintage imho.

Post is more about celebrating getting a 16600, SD posts in General forums seem to be debates over the SDc. Figured it would be more appreciated here.

Thanks everyone. Been on the hunt this weekend for a 1680 Red. Narrowed a couple down, there aren't many available on the open market.
