FS: Rolex Explorer II 16570 L Series T-Dial
FS: Early Rolex Explorer II 16570 L series (1989) 39mm in TZ very good condition with original tritium dial and hands. This is one of the first Explorer II series with a sapphire crystal. The watch has been worn and enjoyed but has no serious flaws. Serial and model number engravings are clearly visible between the lugs. Crystal is perfect and case has its share of hairlines and small marks from normal, regular wear. The dial and hands are very clean with no corrosion or flaking. The tritium is just starting to gain some very light patina and, as would be expected, does not produce any lume. Lugs look very strong - not sure if it was ever polished, but it appears not to have been. Partial original hologram still on the caseback. Watch is running very well and within COSC specs. GMT function works perfectly. Comes with its original 78360 bracelet and 501B end links with moderate stretch with 12 links present, and its original non-flip-lock clasp that is closing and holding solidly. Other than the stretch, the braclelet is in very good condition and the clasp shows desk-diving wear but no actual scratches. Set includes the following non-original but period-correct pieces: outer and inner box, manual, translation booklet, red hang tag, and polishing cloth. I'll include the black/red Zulu strap in the picture upon request. All in all, this is a very nice, original, early Explorer II T-dial at a reasonable price.
$3,850 USD shipped in the CONUS with payment by bank wire or PayPal (add 3% and shipping to PayPal confirmed address ONLY). No trade offers please. I have numerous references here and on multiple watch forums. I may ask for yours if I don't know you. Feel free to PM me with any questions. Thanks for looking! |
