Oh I know, I'd never take offence Leo. I hadn't realised it was the same headstone.

Did look up that film quickly, there's a few stars in it and would like to watch it, but doubt it will ever turn up on TV here.

I do know where that is, Lisa. :-( Actually spent part of the day this past Saturday visiting with Lane's parents and his sister Robin and a rodeo event.

Also, we have stayed in those same cabins and really like the Beaver's Bend area!

Wow, Dawna. That's really a coincidence! We were at his grave Monday afternoon. I'd been there a few years ago when I still worked for the Department of Tourism, when I wrote a story about the town of Hugo.

Did you or your husband know Lane?

We do love Beavers Bend. I hadn't been there for about 15 years. It was time to go back!

Welcome Jen

Greg, sorry to hear of your moms fall. I have been dealing with my mother and her gait has been increasingly getting unsteady. Have to close all doors leading to any stairwells. She will topple for sure.

Lisa, the garden looks great. The tree is interesting too. Nice foliage and colour. The girls are growing up! And looking more like you all the time!

Hope everyone else is doing ok. :-)

As for me, well...I had a bit of a fall on Tuesday night after the torrential rain we had. Not my fault, but thats another matter at this point. Anyway, I fell, landed on my right knee, my left hand took the brunt of my weight and therefor tore my ligaments in my thumb/hand. I have a half plaster cast till I see the plastics doc next week where I will get a handy dandy full hard cast. Im off work for min. 4 wks. I really am not doing so well with one hand. Thankfully it was my left hand that was damaged and not my right which is my dominant hand. I didnt realize what a skill it was to be able to unsnap a bra clasp with one hand. Kudos to those that do it. I guess my social life is gonna slow down a little. Although, I will be attending the wine tasting party I was invited for for tomorrow night. I can still hold the stem with my right hand. I was getting frustrated yesterday because Im not able to wear my watch. My brother drew on a watch with a Sharpie. A really bad Rolex fake version. LOL Coronet under the hands..LOL Made me laugh. Its always 9 o'clock.

No word from Karl yet? I hope he's doing ok. Thinking of you Karl.
Thanks Judy....however she did not make it and died last Friday morn....we missed her by 15-20 mins before we got to the Hospital ..... the funeral is Thursday.

Greg, I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom's difficulties are over, and I know how hard the past several months have been for you.

Greg, I'm so sorry for your loss but know that your Mom is no longer feeling any anguish or having any difficulties of any kind. When I hear about a friend losing a parent it reminds me of my parents and how they have been gone for a few years now.....

Make certain that you rest and get plenty of sleep because under the stress you are experiencing you surely do not want to get sick...yourself. Take care and know we are here for you!!!

yes, he was a few years older, but he was rodeoing professionally at the same time my husband started. we spent some time down at his parent's ranch at various times for bullriding schools, jackpots, etc. good folk.

Dawna, did your husband also ride Bulls or did he do other events or both? Is that how the two of you met...at a Rodeo? Or were the two of you high school sweethearts???

Pam's best friend from high school lives in a town outside of Omaha, Nebraska(explanation for our foreign friends)and either last nite or this morning they had quite a thunderstorm including huge Hail. The Hail were larger than a baseball and put holes in her windshield and totaled many cars. She sent us a couple of pictures...imagine getting hit by one of those ice balls!!!

yes, he rode bulls back then, team ropes now.

we actually met in elementary school, but I didn't like him at all. He was a cocky jock in high school and I didn't like him then either. Not sure what happened but at some point after college I changed my mind.

Really enjoyed your pics, Lisa. The one with all the stones that looks like a cave reminds me of where I grew up.

Glad you liked the pics, Art. Remind me again where you grew up... Pennsylvania? I don't know why I think that! That park in Heavener is very pretty. It's a tiny place, and no longer operated by the state, but it's kept up very well by volunteers.

Dawna, that cracked me up about you and your hubs. Glad you exercised your right to change your mind.

Team roping sounds much, much better than bull riding... especially if you have loved ones in your life. I was doing some reading about Lane Frost and Freckles Brown and started watching youtube videos of bull riding... not for the faint of heart at all. Kind of wish I hadn't watched some of it. One thing is for certain - it's not like the bull fighting in Spain where you feel sorry for the bull (don't get me started...). American bull riding makes you feel sorry for the rider.

Greg, will you be returning to Arizona soon? I know there is a lot to do with getting matters settled. Hope it goes as well as possible for you.

I would like to move tomorrow....but now I feel so bad for her 96 year old husband ....like me he never had kids and has out lived all of his family that I really hate to leave till he goes. When we were leaving the funeral he asked us if we will still come up and visit him because he hates being alone. I promised him we would still come up and visit and would not leave him.

Hi Leo, we are gripped with football world cup fever here. I mean soccer England play Italy tonight and we are probably gonna get spanked.

Also just got back from clay pigeon shooting, I couldn't hit a thing.

How's you?
