Rolex 116610LV Help

Just wanted to get some friendly advices from the gurus on the forum in regards to 116610lv I am getting ready to purchase. The watch comes with everything but a a warranty card. Box, manuals, appraisal and original receipt. My main concern is that if I ever decide I want to get out of watch is the lack of card gonna prevent me from selling and I will take a huge hit because of it.

IMO maybe a 3% hit on a modern piece... If you have the watch serviced at Rolex, you get a new 2 year warranty (or is it 1?) which is essentially a certificate of authenticity etc., etc., etc. I personally wouldn't worry about it - at the same time, you should not pay top top dollar for the watch either IMO.

After the 2 year warranty expires, the original warranty card is basically a useless piece of plastic. If you go the RSC route for service, you will have a new 2 year warranty with the watch. If you wish to sell the watch in the future, save all your service history paperwork, have original inner and outer box and Rolex booklets and you will be fine. I have a new Hulk just purchased in April, but mine is a keeper.

You will take a little hit, but you should be buying it for a little less since it doesn't have the card. If your worried about it look for another one. They pop up for sale on here all the time.

I am buying it for mid 6's. Which based in what I have seen thus far on the forum I think its reasonable but by all means. I am open to anyone's input on that also.

Mid 6s is a HUGE discount, as my AD said that the Hulk was the one Rolex they could not discount. I bought it anyway.

That price is almost too low. Be very careful, not just about the card. But if legit and good condition, buy that baby!

The LVc is a watch that can be fallen out of love with so I would probably want box papers for easy resale unless I got a great price. The LNc is not such a concern.

Selling is between the buyer and seller.. Just like you don't need to buy it unless the price is right for you, you don't need to sell it for a "huge hit" either. It will sell for market value based on condition first, then whatever extras are there secondly.

The majority of watches do not come with all the extra stuff.

Mid 6's is a crazy low number. If you can get a deal like that I'd take it for sure. If you don't like the watch you definitely won't get hurt on resale at that price.

Mid 6s is mispriced. I bet a watch without papers could go for low 7s IF it's authentic. That price point just makes me go "how are you gonna screw me"?

If all serial numbers check out with original receipt than you cannot lose- given of course the watch is in reasonable comdition?
But at that level you can't go too far wrong.

At this price we better see pics, can you ask for them and show them here and request a certain time and date displayed so you know they have the watch.

As for resale ? I never buy anything but the complete package and would not even consider buying without the card as many others.
When selling I think you will take a hit, just my humble opinion.

With all respect, that comment could apply to any watch and not more or less to the LVc. Originally I purchased the LNc but got bored with it, gave it to my Son and bought myself the LVc. Which watch you love and which you decide to let go is simply a matter of personal preference.

Thanks for all your help TRF. I know without a shadow of a doubt the 100% authentic. My friend is a GM at my local AD and she had her certified Rolex tech inspect the watch. Both inside and out. Remove the case back and pressure tested watch there after. She also called Rolex and verified the serial number. Authenticity is the least of my concerns. Condition is like new. I will post lots of pics on Thursday after I pick it up.

True, but with black people know what they are getting but the green is really a bit more of a punt and the greens on the LVc, dial and bezel, are very unique and as has been mentioned here many times, the thrill of the green can wear off and it is less versatile, so it does apply more to a green or any unusual watch.

Congrats! Awaiting the incoming...

I flipped my 116610lv after 2 weeks - the green was nice, but I just got a better offer on it and traded it

The Hulk is not for everyone. But if it sings to you, it is a great piece to have in the collection.

Mid 6's is a great deal as long as everything is good to go. Don't worry about the warranty card.

At that price you can buy it and re-sell it if you dont like it and possibly even make a little $$ on top regardless of the missing warranty card.
