I feel the exact opposite. I went from 48mm super avenger and 46mm navitimer to 40mm gmt2c and 40mm 5167a. I'm hesitant to buy anything over 40 at this point, but may make an exception for FC or something lighter.

Shortly after getting my 44mm PAM my Daytonas felt really small for a while. IMO 39-40mm is just about right for me.

I bet if I wore 40 for a day or so I would get back in the comfort zone. I'm big enough to wear anything (just about) and it looks decent. 44 is my tops though. Unless I could get a DEEPSEA CHALLENGE. I really need 40'000 feet of water resistantance. 12'800 isn't enough

I always picture James Bond wearing a big oversized watch and then I realize..no, doesn't work.

To me there are certain things that look girly on a man....

An oversized watch

Flip flops

Skinny jeans

Earrings

This new trend where dress suits are tailored too tight, with high waters pants and slump shoulders...

But this is just my opinion...but do keep in mind, I am one hell of a mainly man.....

For me I think 36-40mm is the perfect size for dress watches....and 40-42 is a great sports watch size....and anything bigger is panerai country, basically dive/boat specific.

My wrist size is 7 1/2, so 36 or 40 works better for me. A DSSD would be like lifting a barbell everytime I pick up my arm. :)

DSSD vs 1665 in size and depth 44 v 40 ( 40 is perfect ) loved both, the size of SDC at 40 is great too. The DSSD is still one I would wear it is great.
