Ladies Datejust

My Mothers 35 year old watch was getting ready to fall of her wrist so she asked if I could fix it for her. The watch has lug holes and the spring bar that goes thru the end link and bracelet is not reliable. Also the pin that attaches the folding part of the clasp to the other part doesn't fit anymore. I think the spring bar is 13mm but I'm not sure about the pin and can't find a reference to it.

Thanks for the help......Tommy

I agree with Vanessa

since the spring bar is completely worn through, it is most likely that the links themselves are worn almost through as well (a visual check will tell you). No amount of shimming or replacement of the pins will put metal back on the links..

I understand that the watch needs service badly, but my Mom is 89 years young and simply wants to wear it for a little longer. What type of pin is holding the folding part of the clasp to the other ?. What two parts do I need as shown in the pictures.

When the watch is handed down to the right person and that's not me, it will be serviced. I promise...lol

Thanks.....Tommy

Servicing will not cover the bracelet; that needs to go to Michael Young...
