Should I service a Rolex that I just purchased 3 weeks ago? Over the 3 weeks it has lost about 1 second a day. I don't know the last time it was serviced should I service to establish a service date? Or, should I let it go until there is an issue?

I'm not certain why anyone would complain about a watch being off a second a day? Sorry, it just seems strange to me.

You haven't told is much about the watch. Is it vintage? Newer?

Enjoy it for a bit, then get it serviced so you're sure everything is in order

only reason i could imagine servicing is to authenticate the watch, though there would be easier ways to do that

Scooter, sorry for my earlier response. I don't think I'd service since the watch is running great. I might consider getting it pressure tested before going in the water with it.

Depends on what the condition is. I would, at the very least, look inside to determine if it has been serviced recently.

Just because it is running quite accurately does not mean that the insides are not eating themselves apart of that it is not on the edge of failure..

One second per day is great. Most watch makers are like car dealerships. If you take it in they will find something that will cost you money.
