if that is from an AD then it's not a bad price. You could look in the for sale section on this forum and send one of the trusted sellers a private message they should be able to beat that 8000 price for you and have it delivered to you the next day.

Please for the love of god don't ask what a trusted seller is =)
go to the who's who section and just scroll through and you will get a solid feeling for who the trusted sellers are.

I believe right now there are a few brand new in box subs on the for sale section between 7500-7800

My Hulk is obsolete already???? Man, I almost had a heart attack

For OP: Hulk is the nickname for the green dial/bezel 116610 LV (V is for Vert, meaning green; in the LN model, N is for noir I believe, the black dial and bezel)

After that, see what discounts you can get from the AD - generally 5-8% is a good rule of thumb but if establish a good relationship you can get 10% off. Another route is to deal with the trusted sellers on the forums - usually they can get you a better deal.

Good luck and welcome on your journey!
I was wondering, with so many trusted sellers with better deals, why buy from AD's in the first place?

Well done. If you want to risk spending untold thousands, stick around here for awhile. Regular Jonestown.

Surely you jest. However, we can discuss something significant:

Leave the stickers on
Don't get it wet
It's not safe in any city while you travel
Buy a bunch of Cape Cod
Purchase a loupe, try to get the 20x magnification
You can't butter your toast with it on
If you take it outside make sure it's totally wrapped in that bubble stuff
Talk to it before you put it to bed at night cause if you sleep with it on, it's not normal
Pay full retail
Make sure you get a full polish every 3 years
You don't need insurance on it
Never log on here again or your new watch will produce off spring, maybe even twins next time
Buy a winder
And never ever wear it to a job interview

Congratulations
Do the complete opposite of all the above and you'll be fine.
