Are the hour markers and hands of Rolex 116300 made from white gold?
Hi
I've been getting mixed answers about the hour markers and hands of Rolex 116300 made from white gold. Is there any way that I can confirm 100% what they are actually made of? Even on Official Rolex website they dont mention it. I am not 100% sure but I think with the DateJust be it the 36mm or 41mm if the bezel is domed steel (116200 or 116300) then the hands and hour markers are steel. If it has the white gold fluted bezel (116234 or 116334) then the hands and hour markers are white gold.

If you look at the detailed specifications and click on the + sign for the dial details there is a small pop up window which states: The applique hour markers ... are always in 18ct gold and affixed by hand.

White gold. Always white gold.
They do this to avoid the hands tarnishing

As said above, all modern Rolexes have gold hands and indice markers on the dial. They can be rose gold, white gold or yellow gold, depending upon the metals used on the case and bezel of the watch.

This thread may be of interest to you. There is some nonsense that you may want to skim over, but some good info as well. There are also a couple links to threads with some more information.
