Need some advice on the "T" watch...

What do people here think about the AP Royal Oak Extra Thin Tourbillon in stainless steel? I might get a pretty good offer from a local AD that I'm very close with. This will be my first ap tourbillon and something that I think will stand the test of time will be passed on to the next generation.

However, I will need to let go of 2-3 AP's depending on which I let go. I don't wanna spend extra cash on it so the question is, which 2-3 would you let go if you were me to acquire this grail. This will be a keeper for sure.

I presume keepers:
- RO stainless steel skeleton perpetual calendar
- RO 15305 rose gold open work
- ROO RB2 ti

The ones I could sacrifice:
- RO 15202 rose gold
- ROO jarno trulli
- ROO QE2 diver
- ROO ceramic diver
- ROO Novelty navy 42mm

So if you were me, which 2-3 watches would you sacrifice or should I just enjoy my current collection and don't be silly.

I would keep the RG 15202 from your sacrifice-list, and trade the rest with the T-RO

First off, you have the most stunning royal oak collection I've seen!

I see no reason not to consolidate, if you have the tourbillon itch.

I'll step away and let some of the more experienced AP collectors speak from experience.

Best of luck whichever way you go.

Unlike others I will trade RG 15202, that watch is not supposed to be in rose gold. Also would trade QE2 diver and 42 navy if necessary. Jarno is my favorite 42 ROO, and you need one black watch so ceramic diver must stay. Keepers are keepers...

Personally I wouldn't buy one...but your list of watches to dump looks fair to me (with exception of RG 15202 and ceramic Diver).

- RO 15202 rose gold
- ROO jarno trulli
- ROO QE2 diver
- ROO ceramic diver
- ROO Novelty navy 42mm

As for getting the skinny T, that is a special one worth chasing...The two divers seem to be best option to fund it. Plus a bit of cash.

My only advice is: Any of my friends that bought tourbillon watches (non AP), paid the price dearly when it came time to sell. You'll need to keep this one for a long time. There is a limited market for them.

Keep 15202 and Trulli, if possible also keep the Ceramic Diver. Good luck.

With your amazing collection I would keep what you have as I pretty much love every piece you currently own. If you really like the tourbillon then I would give up the 15202 RG since you are getting an extra thin back in the tourbillon, and the ceramic diver or novelty ROO navy.

I like the openworked extra thin tourbillon over this one as the blue dial and tourbillon just doesn't seem quite balanced, but that is in a different price bracket :)

Yes, if money was no concern, I would def want this one instead. Limited to 40, openwork, tourbillon n platinum. What else can you ask for! If only......

Similar to many comments - but guess only the ceramic diver and novelty are really "flippable".

Pls do post incoming pics - a T is always special and TRF would like to share your joy!

Good advise... Been there done that TWICE!

Well, if you have the itch for the T, you got to scratch it somehow. Good luck!

Love that Tourb. Awesome piece.

I'd sacrifice Trulli, QE cup and some other non essentials. I would NOT sacrifice Rose Gold if you don't have to.
