1675 stem removal
I would like to know how to remove the stem on the 1560 movement.
The crown fell off, I need to take the stem out the movement to put the crown back on. Also, where are the dial's feet on the 1560 movement (at 6 and 11?) |

Unscrew the screw (in red circle) a little bit (NOT all the way) and keep it slightly pushed down then push the stem out of the case with a small screwdriver where the yellow arrow points.
Good luck! Edit: don't forget to put a little loctite on the threads before you screw the crown back on!

Loctite that's the secret. I was wondering how I would bond the crown to the stem once it's screwed back on. |

Thanks Vanessa, when I was younger I used to like looking at the insides of car engines, these watches are much more interesting.

Sorry to bring this post back from the dead, but...
What size screwdriver is needed to remove the stem? I have a "watchmaker's precision" screwdriver kit, but they're all too big to fit in the hole. Also, my blades are too thick to loosen the 2 clamp screws that hold the movement down. Any recommendations? Thanks, Brad |
