Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Lady 6919 (E244303)

Hello.

Bought my wife a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Lady 6919 (E244303) through Chrono 24. It is from 1972. I was wondering if you guys at the forum could help me and tell me if the watch is waterproof. Finding it difficult to find that out.

Best wishes

Anders

It was in 1972. You need to get it pressure tested to be sure if it is now.

Thanks for the quick reply. Is that something you do in a regular service of the watch?

Yes, certainly if done by Rolex and probably if done by an independent. It can also be done cheaply by in independent with no service.

I say pressure test it even if it will never go near water. My late-1950's OP Date was completely ruined by light rain because the crystal was compromised and I hadn't had a chance to get it serviced. Replace the crystal and gaskets, pressure test it, then wear it anywhere.
