Sub-C date Limited?
Is Sub-C Date limited to each store? I was told by AD that they only get limited quantity of Sub-C Date black.

I never heard about it. I guess if you sell more, they will give you more.

as far as i know AD's are allotted a certain amount of each ref each month (probably depending on their turnover ) they can cherry pick off that list ,
so if you went into a AD and asked for 50 subs , you certainly wouldn't get them next month.............. |

I would doubt that if you walked into most any AD and placed a genuine order for 50 subs. I am 100% those watches would be at the AD within a week or so.Rolex is in business to make money and in production terms well to Rolex the Subc is two a penny, 2nd biggest selling production watch after the DJ range.

they're not limited but each AD has their allocation of various rolex models that they must accept to take each year. this is to avoid AD only requesting the most popular models to sell. and no, if let's say someone make a request for 50 subs, the AD would not get it. but i know some AD in europe could fulfill that kind of request(only for clients with special relationship).
my local AD people told me this way back then, rolex principal has alloted quantities of refs for them, and they cannot refuse(if they want to keep their rolex AD license). and one more thing, being the best seller brand of the watch.. when the principal rep come to visit, the AD boss/owner would personally accomodate/accompany the rep. and any request from rolex would be approved immediately, for example: any request regarding rolex's display on the AD's shop, or the space of the display, etc. this:(the boss himself accompany rolex's principal visits) doesn't happen with other brands the AD holds/licensed to sell. usually the store manager, or the AD corporate manager would be the ones accompanying, not the boss himself. :D such is a position power from rolex as the best selling luxury watch in the world. lol. |

If an AD tells you they are limited and you can't have one, tell them you guess you have to buy one off the internet. Watch how fast they find one in the back room.

When I was at wempe nyc this feb the sales gentleman was complaining that they always receive much less black Subs than what they ask for. I was wearing mine and he said we don't have one right now if someone would like to buy it, and that policy make people search for watches on 47th street.

Rolex makes about 4 Black Sub-C to 1 Green, so I would think the Hulk is more limited as far as availability. If an AD cannot get what you need, many sellers here on the forum certainly can at a better price.

Black sub is and will be in high demand for awhile. It's one of their best sellers, if not THE best. So supply and demand I guess.
