I had a look at one in an Omega Boutique last week. What put me off was its gigantic diameter and height and, in my view, fussy dial decoration. I was disappointed as I like the idea of a GMT chronograph (I used to own a Bremont ALT1-Z). After seeing this model I won't be putting it on my list. I was far more impressed with the AT GMT chronograph.

while I am neither a chrono guy and not a busy dial guy, although I do love GMTs, I just really like this watch...it is bold in a refreshing way, to me..I mean it is not in your face, it has a nicely styled case and color splashes so it doesnt look too 'rude' in its massive-ness..I dont know if I make sense, but just simply, I find it quiet appealing..I like the idea of a GMT diver with an actual diver's bezel, though I would never use one for diving, but just the design fact is appreciable.

If I lived in the Boston area (moved out a year ago) I would try and find an Omega dealer in New Hampshire (no sales tax in the Live Free or Die state).

Any day one can avoid paying taxes to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is a good day.

I got some wristtime with this one yesterday. No, the dial I find is not too busy but well thought out. The width is just right. The movement hits a sweetspot in my opinion.

However.... The thickness is throwing the whole watch off balance and makes it unwearable in my opinion. What could have been a classic was turned into sth even more unwieldy than the Z-33 due to its weight.

It is a shame.

I looked at these during lunch today, massive, hate it, but I'm a 40mm guy and don't like a small brick siting on my wrist...

I suppose if you want to crowbar a GMT function into a diver this is one way to do it, but lose the chrono functions and the HEV. Personally, I'd also lose the dive bezel altogether in favor of a bi-directional GMT bezel with 24 clicks that gives me numerous time zones. Even if I was a recreational diver, which I'm not, I doubt I'd need the ET bezel or the HEV so I'd prefer a GMT function with more performance. I also prefer the speedy bracelet to that one, and 44mm is a bit big for me.

That thing is so over the top. Omega should have just gone all the way and added a perpetual calendar and bluetooth.
