I am considering the same thing
Are you trading your sub in towards the purchase of the
SD4000?
How much are you getting? I went into an AD and all they wanted to give me towards the sub was like $4500
I left felt insulted anyway I hope these next couple of days go by fast for you
Yes, I traded my Sub. I never buy from an AD as I always buy from grey dealers. Needlessly wasting money in my opinion. I got what I paid for my Sub. You will never get that buying from an AD.

It's not a 5 figure watch if you buy from a trusted seller.

I paid well under that.

Congrats! But I have to ask: I'm considering a Daytona as a daily because I'm one of the few who love and use the chrono function. But my fondest Rolex memory was when I owned a 1665 Sea Dweller.
As I save for the Daytona, the SD4K sometimes "taps me on the shoulder" if you know what I mean, What makes it a better daily than the Daytona?

I don't think one is better than the other for a daily watch. I own and have an affinity for fast cars and I live on and play around water so for me, they both fit my other passions in life. There is not right or wrong just choices.
