Easy

There are none I covet as I never know until I see them in the flesh, if they bite (and the price is right) then I buy them and they become some my favourites among many. For now, I would say my favourite 5 Rolex's are the Tudor blue dial 9411/0 date snowflake sub (first ever Rolex), then my 1962 5512 PCG (avatar) then my 1914 Rolex trench watch, then my 1985 matt dial transitional 16750 GMT and finally a couple of weeks ago, the 1973 1016 Explorer, all honking watches that I wear often

Great lists.

-Tudor Monte Carlo
-Explorer II Orange hand
-Daytona Paul Newman 18K
-Tudor Mil Sub
-1930s Prince

Is Gilt code for 18K Gold or a color change effect? Sorry, I'm a newbie in search of a lexicon dictionary...

GILT is gold lettering on the dial.

This is my favorite list, I think. The reason is that while it's "ultimate" it's also attainable. That said that list below could hit $50,000.

I'd love to have a DRSD, but I am not sure I'd want to pay to own a proper example... or sell elements of my current collection.

So, I'll start with photos. My ultimate 5 watch vintage Rolex collection would ideally all be from or around my birth year, 1979:

1675 (mine already):

6263:

1655 Steve Mcqueen:

1675 Two Tone:

6265 gold:

now that's a fab five - would be interesting to see what that lot would cost you at today's market - my guess $4-500K without the PN Daytona and then depends on which exotic dial Daytona. Just a guess, I could be way out

In a world of fantasy, I'd like a full-spec MilSub, and a Big Crown would be sweet. In reality, maybe add a DR or GW 1665 - or a matte 666 - to the few I already have, possibly a nice 1655, but am honestly quite happy with my little lot, and don't find myself wanting other watches too much. I enjoy seeing others, but I don't need to own them.
