Gin or Vodka, olives or a twist? Up or on the rocks? It is a personal choice. The green doesn't do anything for me...GMT II (Pepsi) works for me but that is a different choice...

Good Choice TR.

I love mine.

The LV is a great looking watch (ignore the green bashers) and it is truly something you do not see on peoples wrists all the time whereas the GMT-C is getting more and more popular

The GMT-C I personally do not care for. I think Rolex made a mistake changing what was once a classic, elegant sports/tool watch!

Goldenbear I agree with to a point, I would love a GMT 2 Pepsi...I just wouldn't sacrifice my LV to get one.

Even if you have a sub i would keep and be satisfied with the LV cause first of all it's an anniversary edition and it's equipped with a maxi dial

Enjoy your watch my friend

You are right I could definitly see myself owning both, but I don't have the funds right now. The GMT IIC on a black suit...amazing!

Well said - they're both great watches

I think the LV is very distinctive - perhaps not everyone's favourite when compared to the Bluesy, but I think the green really shows up the SS to great advantage AND it's different.

It'll be interesting to see how this model fares if it ceases production - that's when it really will come into its own in the desirability stakes IMHO.

You can't make a bad choice with either of them and it'd be great to get the GMT later maybe - enjoy your LV, it's great

I like both watches and I don`t like some things about both of them.GMTc is too massive for me,while LV is overpriced(well, green bezel isn`t enough to make the LV an updated Sub).
But,without any doubt,I would do exactly as you did!LV is good buy and stunning watch!
Besides,it`s a Sub Date, most recognizable Rolex ever,a classic for itself!

I say its a good decision because we don't know how long the Sub LV will be produced. It is an anniversary model after all, and it may be produced for a limited time only. Only time will tell though if the LV will officially be discontinued but its is likely. Since you already have one, that watch will be extremely collectible, especially if its discontinued.

The GMT-C can be had later on as that watch will be in production for quite some time I would expect.

Terrible decision. Actually, worse than terrible...the absolute worst decision you could have made. Ever. In your whole life. There's no recovering from a decision that bad...you're completely screwed...

In all seriousness...You bought the one you liked...I assume you still like it. Be happy with it.

Win-win scenario. I love both, the maxi-dial is great. Enjoy.

I wonder why people need the acceptance of others. Buy what you like and enjoy it. I love my Subs...I don't lust after the Milgauss or the Daytona. That is just me. Come on people, get a spine. Don't be a sheep. Get what YOU want, don't get what someone else wants...or worry about what they think.

I don't think you have a thing to regret. I had always wanted a Sub Date and I fell in love with the LV at first site: a little more special IMO with the Green Bezel and Maxi dial - certainly less common.

GMT IIC is a wonderful watch as well. I liked it so much that it was my next aquisition (TT version)

Both have been great for me and I think you will enjoy your LV for years to come.

Congrats!!

If you ever travel internationally you'll regret not having the GMT, but for general wear I thing the LV is incredible. Get both dude!

What matters is, is it the watch YOU wanted. If it's the watch that smiled back at you, then it's the right one. If not, then sell it and get the GMT.

I think you made a great choice. I would love to have a LV with a black bezel. A black sub date with a maxi dail looks really good IMHO!

Thanks Man!!! I have 16610 too. So, I don't need to change my LV bezel. Just wear my Subdate SS. BTW I like your nice avatar. Is that your watch in your avatar?
