Has anyone experienced "loose" dial markers? 90's GMT11 that just came back from "service" today..

Got a photo? How loose is it...just misaligned or floating around the dial?

Just noticed it when I sat down last night, it looks like the marker for 4 is the one, it is floating around the dial and even fell in the date window...

Some markers are "press fit" into the dial, some use adhesive.

Any rough handling of the watch case can cause a marker to come loose and fall onto the dial.

A good watchmaker can remove the caseback, then remove the movement from the case.

After evaluating what is required to replace and secure it, the movement is put back into the case and the caseback tightened.

No big deal but do it soon before the loose marker gets jammed under a moving hand...

I was thinking I would try to insist on a new dial, the tritium has long lost it's glow, I know it would be worth less with a replacement dial, but...

I've re-fitted a few of those; just pop off the crystal and use a dab of Super Glue on the back of the marker, and press it into place.

Since yours just came back from service your watchmaker might do it as a courtesy.

A new dial is another option; your choice...
