My guess is that he applied something on the bezel, as the paint really starting coming off Friday afternoon just after that second repair.

Thanks TRF, I believe this mystery is solved...
That definitely sounds like the most plausible possibility however I would think the jeweler would have told you what he intended to do before he did it. Either way as long as you like the result, that is all that is important. With the correct process the paint can easily be reapplied and look flawless. I'm glad something so simple and free could reestablish your interest in the watch.

Yes, this is the same watch that we discussed previously. I did visit the gentlemen who wanted to trade his Omega for my Exp. I didn't make that deal, and I am enjoying my EXP Polar much more with this mod....!

Love it! Makes me reconsider my next acquisition. I was thinking of getting a 216750. Now considering a 16750 getting a spare bezel, and getting the bezel pvd and filling in the numbers in white. Wonder how that would look....

I like the mod. The red date wheel was a great touch. ;-)

It looks like once you start modding a watch there is no end...

THanks Quotron from the original inspiration...
Just to clarify, this isn't my watch. I think I found the pic here, so all credit goes to the actual owner.

I'm glad I could be of some slight inspiration though

Sorry to say I agree with this sentiment. I'd say buy a new bezel and it will look much better.

since you asked...

Here is the cleaner I used in conjunction with the tooth brush. Next time instead of regular soap I will use this to clean my bracelet...

I'm happy enough with mine as it was intended by the manufacturer. I definitely like it more.

Even though I voted for you not to do it, I like how it turned out a lot!

Hey thanks Wayne. Several others at the Saturday lunch offered the same advice, but once I saw that the paint was already imperfect I couldn't interrupt my Rolex modification agenda.

I still keep seeing the daytona in my head from the lunch... Such as nice piece...
