Carl do you have the Bergeon 5461 loupe holder? my toolset doesn't have a loupe holder and I'm thinking it might be a very handy thing to have.

That's very nice to read indeed, he's quite a lucky (and most probably very skillfull) man.

I do have a loupe holder but I don't know if it's a Bergeon, since I got my glasses I got myself something like these.

Thanks for the tip Leo

Seems like a handy holder for your glasses Carl.

I don't have glasses so I was referring to something like this:

That hinge magnifier Carl put up looks pretty cool. I might need one of those to analyze my cardiac strips. The reader part of my progressives aren't that great. I end up taking my glassed off & face planting my face to the strips & monitor. Now dont get nervous! I can see the monitor. Sometimes the teeny blips are the ones I have to pay the most attention too.

Thank you for that. If you ever come to Ontario, I'll take your blood pressure for free. Don't ask for a bed bath, that costs money here. Especially since I have 23 yrs experience & I'm damn good at it.

Bas, let me know if you have a hard time finding it.

Leo and Judy, mine doesn't have the same hinge as the one pictured. I don't like the one I posted as it keeps moving on my small glasses.

Keep in mind that it can scratch your glasses' frames though.

Hi Leo... I saw them on the Breitling site. I would have to view them in person but truthfully, I'm not sure about the dial. Looks like, to me, that the dial resembles a propeller because of the funky lines. I think it would have been better looking had they kept it a solid blue without the added lines. Also, the 44mm is just too big & the 33mm is a quartz. I would consider the Galactic if anything. I do like it & thought if I went this route, I could look for a preowned one & brush the shiny bezel. LOL . They haven't been around for long however. Still working on this decision.

I'd like to interject if I may, the Chronomat 41 sounds like it would be a good fit and finish for you, brushed bezel and sapphire display back. The only thing is they are getting harder to come by these days.

Hi Matt...you arent far off. ;-) I keep searching for the Colt Auto II but its been discontinued some time as you might know. Seems like whoever has one, isn't giving them up. Thats the one that started me thinking about getting a blue dial watch. I'm in a holding pattern right now because I'm getting too nutty about a watch.

What about the blue colt quartz, Judy. One in Cali, don't know whether you have to pay duty. But I think this is a great Quartz piece, and the arabic dial is nicer than the auto sticks. Is thermocompensated, meaning it's like an atomic clock, you can set your other pieces to it. And 8 year battery life. You have auto pieces.

Bracelet is brushed.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ON-SALE-AU...item56697f13a9 Is a little overpriced

Nice review

I like the sticks. I don't mind a quartz & that might be where I'm going to look next. I had bought my ex-husband a blue dial stick quartz version back about 2007 & had always liked it from then. Wish I had taken that watch. LOL LOL Thanks for the video, very nice looking with the arabics. ;-)

Not sure if your looking for chrono or non but Govberg has a preowned chrono version right now for sale. http://www.chrono24.com/en/breitling...usedOrNew=used
I found the listing through Chrono 24 but you could contact them directly.

Thanks Matt for your trouble. It's 44mm, which is too big. I like the Transocean Chrono 38 but don't like the lack of end links. I like a bracelet & the mesh is formal enough that the end links should have been made for this watch.

On I ponder.....

Have a great Saturday all.. :-D

That lathe...how come ours didn't look like that!

Very nice pictures Bas, I really like that brass window frame you made.

Thanks Matt. :-) I appreciate that.

Bas, nice pictures. I'm sorry I don't know but what significance is making the brass window? Is it practice for precision? For sizing? :-(

My guess is that they're making him practice using a jeweler's saw, files, sand paper and such tools. That's what I did.

It's indeed for practicing with the jeweler's saw and file.
We also have a drawing class which is for teaching us to work very precisely and stuff like that.
