Hublot advice
Hello friends
I want to buy a Hublot watch but I need some advice. I like the model which has the rubber bracelet or leather with the case with yellow gold or plated in gold. This is the most trendy? If not..wich? I wonder what is the most recommended model of this type for its fashion or when you want to sell or trade it does not lose its value in excess. Thanks. |

If you don't want to lose a lot of money, you probably should not buy a Hublot.

Hublots are more for wearing than collecting imho since they release a limited edition almost every month. This is my first and last hublot i will own

If it were not for your post count, I'd think you were joking. Hublot is not known for keeping their value. Buy pre owned at a great price and still plan on losing 30% if you try and sell it. And as far as the specific watch you're inquiring about, you'd have to be more descriptive as they have so many different models. Good luck, I think some of them are really cool looking

I would wait for a for sale post that included the words "lost my job" or "baby on the way" or "divorce" to buy a Hublot and offer them significantly less than what they want. All kidding aside. Some of them are cool and are quality pieces, but the resale is a killer.

Thanks friends
Thanks for the help friends. It has been very useful for me. Now I have a Rolex Sub.116610 under warranty and now wanted to buy a different watch because I'm loving them.
I liked Omega but are quite similar to mine. Maybe investigate the Panerai models I also like. Clearly the only thing that retains value over time is Rolex. Or am I wrong? Thanks again. |

Hublot makes some nice watches, but as you know, resale is just awful. Buy smart (i.e., used at a good price) and if you ever sell, you won't take as bad of a hit, but chances of finding the specific Hublot model that you like, used, will be tough.
I'd explore many other brands before Hublot. Omega and Panerai are good options. JLC is another good option, though probably not for you if you're looking for a more sporty watch. If your budget allows, AP is always a good choice. |

I think that there are several that will maintain their value like Rolex, if bought properly, no differently than a Rolex. Those include but are not limited to, Patek, JLC, IWC, PAM. If you walk into an AD and pay MSRP plus tax and sell it a month later, you are going to get hurt. Most luxury items that are expensive have issues holding their value. But if you can buy a gently used Ferrari for the price of a Ford??? Bottom line is that they are luxuries. And we enjoy them while we have them and that is worth what we may or may not lose when/if we sell them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
