Diver changing date early

After not wearing my Diver for a few days, I noticed that when setting the date by moving the hour hands the date changes at approximately 5 minutes before 12. Anyone else notice this?

It's just the position the hands were set when mounted. It's a quick adjustment but I'd just live with it.

It's pretty normal - I think -5/+5 mintues is seen as absolutely fine.

Your right in that it is a no big deal thing, however, I will get it addressed by Service. In my opinion, if your going to make the investment in such a wonderful horological piece, it show operate correctly. By correctly I mean within the tolerances of the movement, which is why I asked the question. If others experience the same thing and it is a normal peculiarity with the movement, then that would change things.

Saw your post after my last response, so it seems not uncommon so that may change things!

I know what you are saying Michael and it is a wonderful piece but always try to - hold on tightly, let go lightly.

This. Generally speaking mechanical watches don't change precisely at midnight, there's normally few minutes' variation there.

That's an assembly issue. It's not the precision of the movement, it's because the person in le brassus who attached the hands by hand (pun intended) had to roll the date over before doing so. Because they did this by turning the crown without any hands present for reference, it's difficult to see precisely what minute the flip happened on, and maybe the crown got pushed back a hair before they attached the hands.

See video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KC-y5QRCUUA

Here's a 15202 with the same deal. I think this is pretty normal https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YOn0p1g374

Don't have any AP but on many of my watches same thing, so don't think there's anything to worry about
