Kudos to RSC
I have a 3 yr old ExpII 40mm that suddenly lost its resistance/detente (sp?) on the jumping hour when I tried to adjust the date. It became smooth jumping.
Called local AD and explained the situation. The sales person noticed that my watch is in very good condition. I explained that i normally wear the Exp in rotation with my other watches. She said that even though the watch is out of warranty, it's sort of unusual that the hand lost its resistance when adjusting the date. She said Rolex will fix them if it is a manufactures defect. So I gave them my watch & warranty card, AD sent it to RSC and waited for the assessment. Two days after, they called and said Rolex will fix it under warranty!!! Yay! Fast forward Two weeks after, i got my watch back, all working well again!!! Thank you RSC for acknowledging the defect and fixing it even though my watch was out of warranty.👍👍👍 |

Congratulations. Glad to see RSC Australia is compensating for the crummy service of their NYC counterparts.

Same thing happens to my exp ii, a few months out of warranty and rolex NYC fixed it for me. Does your watch have the 3186 movement? Mine did.

Yes. It has 3186 movement. I've read a few threads in the tech section, a few owners with 3186 have the same problem. Glad they sort it out though. |

Good to hear that not only did they fix it free of charge, but the turnaround time was quite swift.
