It seems like there is more attention to maxi-dials. I think pre-comex is lesser in production but I see generally the highest prices are on maxi dials. Speacially Maxi1 and Maxi3 having the biggest plots makes them desirable for the collectors. My personal suggestion would be get the most clean & the best you could find. It could be maxi, pre-comex, serif, feet first or mf unless you particularly want maxi plots or wide chamfers.

I have not input recent 5513 for sale prices into a spreadsheet to analyze the trend (would be an interesting drill) - but I watch them closely. IMO for the same condition 5513 - Maxi dials have highest asking prices, meters first have lowest (why?), non serif, serif and pre comex are in between.
BTW, I kind of like the serif dial

I don't have actual numbers for you, but based on what comes for sale in the vintage market it would appear that the PreComex may have been produced in fewer numbers relative to the Maxi 1 dial. This is consistent with the observation that the PreComex is usually seen in the early to early/mid 5 million serial number range.
5513's with Mark 1 maxi dials tend to sell at a bit of a premium over other 5513's in similar condition. This is in contrast to 7 to 8 years ago when it seemed that the meters first 5513 was preferred by some collectors. Take heart though... the fashion pendulum is always swinging.

Beautiful serif Russ.
