The new PepC would be my choice. I must disclose that I already have a BLNR. I do love the new PepC.

Each of them has a strong personality, I think they can't be compared to each other.
- the BLNR is both sober and sporty, the night/Day bezel is so intuitive, it is the first two-tone ceramic bezel manufactured by Rolex.
-The BLRO is the new version of the historical Pepsi bezel in precious metal, so long awaited. I guess it will not be often spotted on wrists in the wild.

Many were saying how the colors on the platona were horrendous upon release. Weird brown bezel combined with the blue dial. A couple years later...it's legendary. Same thing will happen to the BLRO.

This is one of the reasons I love my BLNR, the mere fact that it is compared to the WG Pepsi !

I was thinking the same thing. Thought probably done on purpose like others said talked about.

If you look in for sale DavidSW has a BLRO for sale, however the price is around a SkyD haha.. that being said I do love the BLRO and the heritage that's being carried forward with this piece

Batman or Pepsi? Hmm?

I have both. I wear the pepsi more but the BLNR is nicer in my opinion. To me, the big decision is PCL or non-PCL, lol. Unless you are talking the new WG Pepsi, then it's more difficult to compare. Cost aside, I'll take the WG GMT.

I'm biased toward BLNR but that Pepsi looks pretty cool too.

For BLRO's price could have a YG GMTc and BLNR.

I believe they muted the colors on purpose to do just that; as a nod to the original bakelite bezels ('54 to '56) found on the first ref 6542 GMTs. The real originals weren't as shiny as what we're all used to (especially now with the faded-bezel craze), and the red was deep like the BLROs. For it's anniversary release I think that's what Rolex was shooting for.

Personally, I think it's a great modern rendition of the icon that started it all. To make it look like what was released 60 years ago they didn't have to take away the date, cyclops, or mercedes hands, those were part of the GMT in its original form in 1954. Outwardly, the only real change has been the addition of protective crown guards in 1959.

Im with you on this.

Just looks............................................. .............BLNR.
Based on price............................................. ......BLNR.
Bang for the buck.............................................. BLNR.
Goes with most things I wear .............................BLNR.
If both offered in stainless at same price?...............likely still BLNR.

I like the BLRO, just not enough for the cost.

Wish the BLNR was in white gold. If that was the case BLnr hands down. Wonder how that would sway the results?

I think most are choosing the BLRO because it's in Wg
