Spring Bars for a Rolex 1803 Day-Date in White Gold?
Hello all,
I just acquired a lovely vintage Rolex 1803 in white gold, and need new spring bars. My question is: do I need to get white gold spring bars, or is a normal stainless set adequate? May be a silly question, but I don't want to take any chances with this one. Thanks!! |

I would go for the 18k WG spring bars but that's just me. I bought a pair of 18k ones but in YG from my AD for about $150 USD. I can't see the WG ones being any different. I would like to see what others chime in about WG vs. SS ones. Good luck and cheers!
P.S., beautiful watch! What year is it? |

Thanks, I appreciate it. It's a 1972 model. $150 sounds reasonable to me.

I'd also reccomend gettin the WG ones, I'm sure stainless wouldnt damage your watch, but I wouldn't risk gaping the lug holes because of improper springbars.

Get white gold. Steel will wear out you lug holes quicker they are readily available at any AD.
