Rolex Day Date Case

Hi All,

Please I was hoping for some help.

I am looking to put together a Rolex Day-Date. I have found a movement that is very good and want to pull the trigger and buy, but I am hesitant for one reason.

How easy/hard is it to find a decent case for it. Rarely ever see them come up on RF, so wondering if the forum would advise against me buying the movement?

Also, any ideas on how to source a case would be greatly welcomed.

Thanks

Lawrence

Bad cases most likely melted leaving you with remote chance of a decent case.

Imo, find a good case first if you want a DD project, i think movements are easier to come by.

Why not get a complete one? U r opening a can of worm here IMO. Unless u r a watch maker, otherwise I don't c the point. Not to mention it will take u years to find all the components unless u r very very lucky.
A good 3055 would cost you $1200 & up.
Hope u find what u r looking for.

OK. I will try and get a complete as it feels like trying to build one would be too much hassle. Thanks for the advise all.
